Each year MusicFest Canada produces an event called “The Nationals” which brings together thousands of students and educators from across the country for a one-week celebration of excellence in music performance. For this year’s 43rd MusicFest celebration held May 11 – 15 at the University of Toronto, the York Catholic DSB was honoured to have the board’s St. Stephen School invited to perform – the first elementary school at YCDSB to ever be invited to this event.

St. Stephen’s students performed many outstanding choral and instrumental pieces and received an impressive silver medal for their efforts.

Congratulations to all participating students and to Mrs. Sisti, St. Stephen’s music director.
