Catholic school boards across the province do an incredible amount of work to assist people in need both near and far.  One of the many ways Catholic school boards do this is by raising support for effective and far reaching agencies like the United Way.

The Wellington Catholic DSB recently assessed the work that they have done in support of the United Way and found that over the last four years, 2007 – 2010, staff and administration at the board had contributed over $243,000 to the board’s United Way campaign.  That amount exceeds sums raised by major employers in the city in which the Board office is located (Guelph), including the city itself which employs 3-4 times more employees than the Wellington Catholic board.

Kudos to the Board and its staff for this outstanding demonstration of generosity and commitment to our Gospel values.
