At the recent January 2024 Catholic Trustees Seminar in Toronto, OCSTA Vice President and Chair of the Sudbury Catholic District School Board, Michael Bellmore, announced the winners of the annual OCSTA Short Video Contest for students in grades 4 – 12.

This year’s OCSTA Short Video Contest invited students to create a 2-minute video demonstrating how the scriptural quote inspiring this year’s Catholic Educatoin Week theme – We are Called to Love –  is reflected in how we treat and respect one another: “If we love one another, God lives in us” (1 John 4:12).

The Association received almost 100 outstanding submissions from across Ontario and from that body of submissions 32 made the short-list of qualifying videos that were published for public voting (view the short list and videos for elementary submisssions and secondary submissions). All Catholic District School Boards and those submitting videos were invited to participate in voting and encouraged to share and promote the opportunity for others to view and choose their favourite Catholic school video submission.
