OCSTA Congratulates New Minister of Education
TORONTO, August 16, 2024 – “On behalf of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA), I am pleased to congratulate the Honourable Jill Dunlop on her appointment to the role of Minister of Education. We look forward to working collaboratively with the Minister to enhance and strengthen Ontario’s education system,” said Michael Bellmore, OCSTA President.
“Ontario’s Catholic school boards collectively educate almost 1/3 of the province’s students in grades K – 12, and as the organization representing this system, OCSTA is pleased to continue our role as an established provincial education partner working with the Minister of Education to effectively address the priorities of students and parents served by Ontario’s Catholic school boards,” added Mr. Bellmore.
Founded in 1930, OCSTA represents the interests of Catholic school boards that collectively educate approximately 560,000 students in Ontario, from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
