Online Learning Resources for Students
The Ministry of Education has launched an online learning site called Learn at Home, www.ontario.ca/page/learn-at-home with a single point of access for use during the closure period.
Staff at ALCDSB have been working diligently to create a robust plan to best support our students academically. Our staff have created five documents that will support home learning.
Resources for virtual learning at BGCDSB
At the new BGCDSB Virtual Schools Community Blog, staff will be posting helpful information for the families in our community during this period of virtual learning. Information will include technology help and tips, mental health and wellness articles, and faith formation information.
We invite you to visit this webpage often for fun learning activities for each day of the week. We hope you will share some of your ideas with us on Twitter and Instagram and stay connected with the hashtag #DCDSBKeepLearning.
Halton CDSB Learn @ Home
The Halton CDSB Learn at Home website offers a collection of educational and faith-based resources to support learning at home. Parents and students in K-12 are invited to browse and discover new resources including the Learn at Home resources provided by the Ministry of Education, as well as supplementary learning resources compiled by our HCDSB Program Services. These resources offer opportunities for students and families to engage in optional and independent learning, and will not be assessed or evaluated by HCDSB educators.
In addition to the already mentioned resources, the Halton CDSB Social Worker team created a series of videos to support students, parents and staff during this period. The videos can be accessed at https://learnathome.hcdsb.org/mental-health-wellness/.
Learning at Home
In order to support continued student learning during the school closure, the HWCDSB has prepared a number of “in house” online activities and learning resources to supplement the province’s Learn at Home program.

In response, we will be launching phase II of our Learn at Home Program, which includes teacher-led learning, until schools can safely reopen for in-school learning.

NPSC Learn @ Home
It is with great pleasure that the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) announce the launch of a new website for parents and students called NPSC Learn@Home. This website was created by NPSC educators to support students and families while we are away from the classroom.
Organized by subject and level of study, this online resource centre offers families access to a wealth of resources on everything from Edsby Tutorials, accessing Free Math Tutors, French Language, Exploring the Skilled Trades, Information On Well-Being and Mental Health and so much more. We will be adding to this resource on a regular basis.
Our school board staff have curated a collection of resources to support learning at home. Parents and students in grades K-12 can find resources to support their learning at the links below. Use these to supplement the information provided on the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Learn at Home website.
PVNC Learn @ Home
Our shared goal is to ensure the successful completion of the school year for all students: to support students to advance to the next grade, to earn the credits in which they are currently enrolled, and to graduate if they are on track to do so.
Given the range of circumstances that students and their families are currently facing, however, this support plan for teaching and learning will require flexibility and a range of delivery options that are reasonable and practical. Teaching and learning in this new context will not look the same as the customary in-class experience.
