The following is part of a 90th Anniversary series that features Catholic trustees from across Ontario sharing insight on the experience of Catholic education at their boards.
Our Superior North Catholic District School Board schools go out into their communities and are very welcoming to the students, families and staff coming into our schools.
St. Hilary Catholic School in Red Rock has an annual Seniors/grandparents Tea. St. Hilary Catholic School uses our beautiful church to have there Christmas concert. It’s known that students growing up with catholicity are kinder and brilliant.
The good news from our Catholic board is well our Senior Team and Board are making the well-being of senior staff, teachers and students a priority. We are also pleased with the advances made to ensure that all schools in our board have an Indigenous Teacher. We have an amazing Indigenous Education Advisory Committee and we are fortunate to have Elders that are involved in their sharing of knowledge and experiences with our students.
